The costumes were pretty easy to make. All I had to buy was a hat which I found on clearance for $2 and a can of black hairspray which was also $2. You can't really see it in the picture but I cut out a felt anchor and glued it to Josh's hat. I found some yellow rick rack in my stash and sewed it around my skirt. The ruffles I added to my sleves and neckline are out of felt as well. The kids really liked our costumes and some even said we were the best dressed adults. After the activity we headed over to Josh's family reunion planning meeting and surprised them. They were pretty shocked to see us dressed up like this but thought it was great. We still don't know what we're going to do Halloween night but hopefully we'll dress up again. It was fun.
