BBQ Pulled Pork

First thing you do is brown all the sides of the pulled pork. Just heat up your pan to medium and sear it for a few minutes on each side.
Next place it in the crock pot. Josh cut the pork loin in half so it would fit better in the pan.
Pour a 2 liter bottle of root beer over the pork loin roast.
After it cooks thoroughly (we usually turn it on high for 6 hours) shred it using two forks and then pour bbq sauce over it. Tastes great with homemade rolls and it's so easy! It was a big hit at my family birthday dinner last night.

Miracle Whip Cake

Josh has been craving one of these for a while so Sat. he called his mom and got the recipe and on Easter Sunday he not only cooked me dinner but a cake as well. It's best eaten piping hot out of the oven. Instead of frosting you put butter on it. Sounds weird but was really good!

Here's the recipe:
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
5-6 T cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. water
1 c. Miracle Whip
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 400. Mix all ingredients and bake in a greased 9 x 12 pan for 30 min.

No Bake Cookies

The other night Josh and I were watching Psych Season 1 and got the muchies. Neither of us had ever made these before but I got the recipe a couple weeks ago and thought we had all the ingredients so we gave it a shot. They turned out great and they are so yummy we can barely stop eating them.

No Bake Quick Cookies Recipe

In large pan mix: 3 cups sugar, 1 cup milk and 1 stick of butter

Bring to a boil and boil for one minute. Remove from heat.

Add: 6 T cocoa, 1 1/2 c peanut butter (we used creamy), 6 c quick oats & 2 tsp vanilla

Mix well. Drop by teaspoonfulls onto wax paper on a cookie sheet. Put in freezer and chill thoroughly.

We used a Tablespoon so our cookies are huge. They look like animal droppings but they taste good and are easy to make.
