A couple weeks ago when my parents were in town we searched high and low for a mattress. After spending two days driving around PHX laying on all kinds of mattresses we finally ordered one from costco sight unseen. Isn't that just like me? It seemed to be the best of both worlds. The first time we'd looked at mattresses several months ago we kind of liked the sleep number beds. Then the second time we went we liked the temperpedic beds. This mattress has air chambers like a sleep number with 3" of memory foam on the top like a temperpedic so we thought we'd give it a try. After sleeping on it for a couple of weeks now it seems to be a good choice. We'd been sleeping on full size bed that was almost at old as us so having a brand new queen bed it quite a treat. The UPS man said he'd never delivered a mattress before. It was quite compact as you can see. It was pretty easy to assemble though. Here's a link to it if you want to check it out.
Now we are in search of a bed to put the mattress on. I've contacted a guy on craigslist about building a platform bed for us since we can't find exactly what we want. So I'll let you know how that goes.
