Brandon Mull Book Signing for FableHaven 4

So tonight I went to my very first booksigning. When I found out a month or so ago that Brandon's first stop on his Fablehaven 4 Tour was going to be Mesa I marked it on the calendar. We arrived at Barnes & Noble around 6:30 and they gave us the letter "z" and said we'd probably make it to the front of the line in about 3 1/2 hrs. So we went to the grocery store, grabbed some food, went home and made dinner and ate and hung out for a couple of hours and then went back. The letter "x" was announced shortly after we walked in the store. Josh looked around at books and I did some of the activities around the store that were meant to keep the kids busy. I made a bookmark and a bracelet and picked up a coloring page of a dragon. (I figure I'm still a kid since I don't have any right?) When our letter was finally called we only had to wait a few minutes in line. I have to say that even though we only interacted for a minute, Brandon seems like one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I'm so happy that his books are doing so well. With Josh being such an avid reader he happened across the books a few years ago. After he read them I borrowed them and even lent them to my nephew. Josh even had Brandon sign a couple books for me a few years ago when he signed books in Chandler. When Josh's brother was here from Taiwan in Oct. we introduced him to the books. He read Book 1 during his visit and bought us Book 3. He was going to get all of them when he went back home. I can't wait to start reading Book 4 and hope the movies come out as soon as possible. They are great stories and would make excellent movies. I felt kind of silly being the only ones there without kids but I guess we are just kids at heart. I'd much rather read Fantasy children's books than "adult" books anyday. Of course when I met him the first thing I said was, "I stalk you on Facebook" which I totally do. Atleast now I can say that everyone I'm connected to I've actually met in person.

Can I just say how much I LOVE these books?! I read book one, and bought books 2 and 3, then moved... I haven't read them yet, and I'm just so anxious to get them to me here! You're so lucky! :)
