Sidewalk

Usually when I go out to the mailbox in the afternoon I see a couple of cotton tail, some quail, lizards, etc... I was a bit surprised yesterday when I went outside and the sidewalk had mysteriously buckled.

As you can see the sidewalk is raised up about 7".

This is a dried up dead lizard. Nice.

Quite a large section of the sidewalk is affected. I wonder who's tennis ball that is? Considering the other day the high was a mere 65 and it's gone up about 10 degrees a day since then I guess the sidewalk couldn't handle the extreme 40 degree temperature change. I wonder if it will eventually go back down or what?
